Q: I have multiple channels within the one YouTube account can I send one webinar to one account and one to another?
A: Unfortunately, no. It will go to the main default account associated with that address. Thankfully, it’s easy to move the video from one channel to another. You can either download it and re-upload it, or create a playlist within the sub channel.
Q: I have been playing around with WebinarJam in an attempt to add some video conferencing to a web app I am working on. The API is great when it comes to things such as retrieving a list of webinars and registered users. The one thing that I would like to do is handle the creation of the webinar from my own site instead of having to bounce back and forth between webinar jams to create a webinar and then update the data on my end to provide users with the appropriate registration button. Is there a way that I can either handle the creation of a webinar through an API or is there any sort of alternative that anyone could suggest?
A: No, sorry, the webinar can only be created from within the configuration dashboard.
Q: Since I’m using Facebook event ads to drum up participation for my event, lots of people are not registering ahead of time. If I just provide the participants’ link though, WebinarJam requires them to share their email to enter the room. Where do these email addresses go? How can I capture the emails of participants who do not preregister?
A: The emails will go to your autoresponder, regardless of whether they signup via the registration page or the webinar room login page.
Q: Can we do automated webinars with WJ?
A: No, but you can with https://www.everwebinar.com/
Q: Is a webinar always recorded regardless of you setting up the replay?
A: Yes! That’s one of the great things about WebinarJam; you don’t have to remember to do it!
Q: Is it possible to have the confirmation & reminder emails coming from my email address rather than from do-not-reply@webinarjam?
A: Yes, you can send them from your own SMTP email server through your own name and email.
Q: Is there a recommended size for the background pictures for the templates? I am currently looking at template #7.
A: For this template, the larger the image the better. The image itself gets adjusted as best as possible to accomodate the individual’s browser, so be sure that the image does not include text, as it will get distorted. Try something around the 3200 x 1800 pixel range.
