Q: Is there a time limit to WebinarJam recordings?
A: I’d advise any webinar that you know is going to run more than 2 hours to be broken up into 2 webinars. Recordings much longer than that become hard to edit, download, or repackage, if you’re interested in that.
Q: Can I upload a background image?
A: WebinarJam doesn’t support image uploads. Instead, upload the image to your own website and link to it in the WebinarJam templates. If you don’t have a website to upload a picture to, you can use a free service like TinyPic to upload your photos. Once you upload it, you want to use the “Direct Links for Layout” option.
Q: I used to use GoToWebinar and could integrate it with LeadPages, which I could integrate with my WordPress site. People could land on my site (the integrated lead page) and sign up to my GoToWebinar. Is something like that possible with WJ?
A: Yes, you can do that. At the configuration dashboard, on the registration page, select the option “Your Own Design,” and the system will give you the <embed> code so you can register people from your own site, be it WordPress or any other type of site.
Q: I just setup a multiple webinar link. I did the second one but there was no recording loaded as far as I can see for the second one; the only one I can see is the first one. Is that normal?
A: The recording for the second one should be in your YouTube channel (you won’t see any evidence of it in your WebinarJam account). Your registrants will get a replay link (if you’ve sent it) that points to the recording of whichever of the sessions they registered for.
Q: I finished my webinar about 90 minutes ago. I didn’t schedule a Post Webinar Notification Email because I like to prepare my landing page first with the embedded YouTube replay. I just did that and scheduled the Post Webinar Notification Email, saved the module, and published the webinar. Will my people get that email? I set it for 1 hour after the webinar. Thanks.
A: You can actually configure the replay page to redirect to any page you wish. Please find that option at the “Replay” tab of the configuration dashboard. So, just configure it to your URL and then, when they click on Go To the Replay button, it would take them to your page. All you’d have to do is make sure you set the delay for a long enough time for YouTube to process the video so you can embed it on the page.
Q: Can attendees speak interactively with WebinarJam?
A: Only co-presenters can speak or broadcast. You can configure up to 6 presenters per webinar in your dashboard. Of course, you can invite unlimited attendees, and interact with them through the chat feature.
Q: I will run a webinar tonight with two admins. How can I show admin #2 screen?
A: Admin #2 hits the screenshare option to share the window on their screen they want to show. Superadmin makes sure that the admin who is sharing is “blueboxed” (actually, white now) to ensure the attendees see that admin’s video feed.
