The Poo That Ensues (Why Your First Webinar Shouldn’t Be A Webinar At All!)
Lets just cut to the chase and get this stuff out of the way…
The first thing you want to do when you’re getting started with WebinarJam isn’t to set up a webinar.
You might be really disappointed that you can’t set up a webinar just yet, but don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to do that.
Not to mention, these steps shouldn’t take you long, you’ll be up and running making money with webinars in no time.
First, you have to configure your Youtube Channel.
See, the thing that makes WebinarJam so very powerful, our integration with YouTube… often makes the FIRST webinar that you do a bit tricky. If your YouTube account isn’t configured exactly right for Live Streaming… you might run into some issues.
Rest assured, we’ve created a step by step walkthrough of exactly how to configure your account settings, and it will take you just about 15 minutes to complete. We walk you through the steps to embed live streaming, for most it includes:
- Getting Adsense.
- Monetization
- How to set up your first webinar (your test) to ensure that everything is set for when you do your first actual webinar
You can start the walkthrough here now, or read on for more information about… the poo that ensues when your account isn’t properly configured!
You may be wondering if Adsense is really required. The answer is YES. Don’t panic when it says you’ll hear back in a week. Youtube typically completes the process in 48 hours. Note here, they under promise, so it feels like an over delivery…. Ah, marketing at its most basic!
Now for some good news, you are NOT limited to channels that have their own private Google address. This means you can pick a brand channel, provided you follow those set-up steps.
Co-presenters do NOT need a gmail address or Youtube channel. Neither do attendees who use the Attendee Spotlight (Go ahead and dance a jig. I’ll wait). You can have up to 6 people in the room at a time.
Our lovely documentation specialist has put together a comprehensive page where you can find every tidbit of insider information you need, get questions answered, or just browse through to see what the latest updates are:
